Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. also know as Barak Obama, is one of the big names in US politics for quiet somtime now. Obama was born in august 4th, 1961 to Barack Hussein Obama,Sir in Honolulu, Hawaii, US and studied in Columbia University, Harvard Law School.
Obama has a hard time growing up, his mother and father seperated when he was only two years old and his father died in a motor accident in the year 1982 and his mother Ann died of Ovarian cancer after his publication of Memoir – dreams of my father in the year 1995. He studied in Jakarta, Indonesia from ages 6 to 10. He returned to Honolulu to live with his grandparents and attended Punahou School from the fifth grade until his graduation in the year 1979.
After his high school years in Los Angeles, he then moved to Columbia University in New York City and majored in Political Science and received his Bachelor degree in Arts in 1983.
In 1996, Obama was elected as the Illinois Senate from the 13th district and re-elected in the year 1998 and 2002. He resigned from the Illinois Senate in 2004 following his election to the U.S senate. As a state legislator, he supported ethics and healthcare laws. In Febuary 2007 at Old State Capitol in Springfield Illinois, Obama announced his candidacy for the 2008 U.S.Presidental election along the likes of Abraham Lincoln. Lets see what happens next …..
